Neurophysiology: How the Brain Thinks

This course explores the molecular, cellular, and circuitry mechanisms that underlie the function of the mammalian nervous system, with special emphasis on the human brain.

Topics include analysis of electrical properties of neurons, chemical communication between neurons, cellular processes responsible for synaptic transmission as well as short- and long-term plasticity, and the functional organization of the central nervous system.
