Principles of Genetics

This is a general course in genetics providing a broad view of gene action from the molecular to the population levels, with emphasis on eukaryotes.

Topics include bacterial and viral genetics, Mendelian genetics, mutation and DNA repair, forensic DNA technology, chromosome structure and function, genomics, and population and evolutionary genetics.

The course also covers legal, ethical, and policy considerations for use of genetic technology.
