MATH X402
Math for Management
This course introduces the mathematical and statistical concepts commonly used in business analysis and in preparation for M.B.A. coursework.
Students will develop a strong foundation in probability and descriptive statistics, including measures of central tendency, probability distributions, correlation, regression, and statistical hypothesis testing.
The curriculum also explores core quantitative principles within the context of business and economic decision-making, including applications in budgeting, financial analysis, and investment evaluation.
Emphasis is placed on applying these concepts to real-world business and economic problems, enabling learners to interpret data, evaluate uncertainty, and support informed decision-making across a range of organizational settings.
By the end of the course, students will have developed quantitative reasoning skills that support further study in business, economics, finance, and other data-informed disciplines.
