Emotional Intelligence and Organizational Power Dynamics

This course examines how emotional intelligence shapes the use and perception of power within modern organizational structures.

Students will explore how individuals lead, communicate, and make decisions in environments influenced by both formal authority and informal influence.

Emphasis is placed on understanding the role of emotional intelligence in navigating workplace dynamics and managing relationships.

Students will analyze how power operates across lines of identity, hierarchy, and group dynamics; and how emotionally intelligent leadership can promote inclusion, foster a strong sense of belonging, and drive improved effectiveness.
