ENVR E-599
Independent Research Capstone
This course offers students the overview, direction, and support for completing an individual capstone project, creatively engaging their professional and personal interests.
Lectures and discussions explore challenges and opportunities in project scoping, boundary delineation, stakeholder inclusion, impact assessment, and sampling design; logical consistency, lateral thinking, and case study analysis; prototyping, benchmarking, and bet hedging; effective writing, editing, graphic presentation, and information search; and public presentation and network building.
Students are asked to prepare a poster of their work to present to the wider graduate community at the end of the semester.
