MATH X7

Foundation of Mathematics

This course builds a strong foundation in essential mathematical concepts to prepare students for university-level mathematics and a range of academic and professional pathways.

Students will review and strengthen core skills in arithmetic and algebra, including fractions, exponents, linear equations, and mathematical notation.

The curriculum emphasizes problem-solving, quantitative reasoning, and the interpretation of relationships between quantities through symbolic, numerical, and graphical representations.

Students will also develop the ability to translate real-world scenarios into mathematical models.

By the end of the course, learners will demonstrate the confidence and conceptual readiness needed to succeed in precalculus, statistics, other introductory college-level mathematics courses, and applied professional contexts.
