Curriculum Development in Dual Language Immersion

All K-12 Dual Language educators and administrators need to be aware of how a Dual Language program works, how each language is developed, and why they are beneficial to student learning and growth.

The 50/50 and 90/10 model will be researched and discussed throughout this course.

Topics for this course include how the 50/50 Dual Language model works, what specific language teachers focus on and reinforce, how to structure your time teaching two sets of students, and collaborating with a partner teacher daily.

Additional topics for this course include how the 90/10 Dual Language model works, what specific language teachers focus on and reinforce, how to structure your time, planning & preparation for two languages in one class, and collaboration with your grade level team.
