Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Innovation, global competition, and artificial intelligence (AI) are fundamentally transforming every industry.

In this course, we explore strategies for innovation and growth for a changing business environment.

This course moves beyond incremental improvements to focus on creating entirely new businesses, markets, and value streams.

We focus on effectiveness through innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital capabilities, recognizing that these are potent forces for social and economic growth.

We examine how disruptorsmdash;from platforms like Uber and Airbnb to technologies such as AI and blockchainmdash;threaten established industries by offering faster, cheaper, and more direct solutions to customer opportunities.

Through the lens of market leaders like Apple and Amazon, students learn to create uncontested markets, redefine channels, and secure sustainable competitive advantages.

Key topics include breakthrough strategy: moving beyond better to different; digital enablers: deep dives into AI, blockchain, and digital currencies; the entrepreneurial tool kit: design thinking, lean thinking, and agility; and finally, execution: fundraising, navigating barriers, and managing risk.
