Singing II

8 WEEKS | IN-PERSON | EVERY QUARTER Course Overview: In this course, singers will explore more sophisticated technical issues while continuing to work on the fundamental aspects of good singing in a friendly and supportive environment.

The focus will be on developing the skills necessary to perform as a soloist, including posture, breath control, and expressive articulation.

Students will be guided through practical exercises, and will work on songs of various styles in both group and solo settings.

Topics to be covered include singing in harmony, how to develop a regular practice routine, and song and performance analysis.

Participants will work on a selection of solos and ensemble pieces, and will present your work in an informal final performance open to friends and family.

Prerequisite: Students are required to take Singing I before this class.

Familiarity with fundamentals of singing is necessary.
