AutoCAD II: Intermediate

Course Duration: 2.5 weeks Prerequisite: AutoCAD I: Introduction or work experience with instructor approval Quarters Offered: Winter | Spring | Summer | Fall Take your AutoCAD skills to the next level by building on foundational knowledge and learning the advanced tools professionals use to produce complete construction document sets.

This intermediate course focuses on efficient workflows, drawing coordination, and industry-standard drafting practices that help you work faster, smarter, and with greater precision.

Course Details You’ll create plan and elevation drawings while learning how to assemble and manage multiple files within a single project.

Topics include advanced commands, external references, blocks, user coordinate systems, dynamic viewing, and model/paper space conventions.

Through a guided project, you’ll develop an abbreviated set of construction documents—including floor, roof, foundation, and electrical plans, along with building elevations—mirroring real-world professional practice.

With instruction from an Autodesk Certified Instructor and practicing professional, you’ll receive practical insights and personalized feedback throughout the course.

Videos, project-based assignments, discussions, and regular progress check-ins ensure you gain both technical proficiency and confidence managing larger, more complex CAD projects.
