Business Research for Innovation, Design, Growth, and Entrepreneurship (BRIDGE)
Administered by the UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies, the Research Scholars Program offers high school students exceptional access to advanced educational experiences that draw upon the intellectual resources of a globally recognized research institution.
Through a combination of interactive online discussions via Zoom, analysis of real-world venture case studies, and engagement with venture simulations developed by leading universities, this course provides high school students with a strong foundational framework for careers and advanced study in business, entrepreneurship, and management.
The curriculum immerses students in critical topics such as business innovation, venture financing, and growth strategy.
Simulations offer experiential insight into the operational dynamics of launching and scaling a business, highlighting challenges such as capital acquisition, organizational leadership, and value creation for founders and stakeholders.
Case examples feature ventures that successfully transitioned from concept to market and secured funding from angel investors and venture capitalists.
