Biostatistics in Healthcare

Biostatistics in Healthcare is a field that applies statistical methods to data gathered in the biological sciences, such as clinical trials, public health, genetics, and genomics.

It aims to distinguish between correlation and causation to gain a proper understanding of the data.

This course serves as both a refresher and an introductory course in statistical thinking and methods.

It covers both descriptive and inferential statistics, and students will complete a real-life project to demonstrate their understanding.

By the end of the course, students will: Organize, summarize, and present data Describe the relation between two variables Understand basic probability and probability distributions Work with sample data to make inferences about a population Join a diverse community of learners, including aspiring healthcare professionals looking to meet graduate school requirements, researchers hungry for deeper insights, laboratory enthusiasts seeking to enhance their analytical prowess, academics yearning to expand their statistical toolkit, and programmers eager to unlock the potential of data-driven solutions.

Many of our current students enroll in both Biostatistics or Biostatistics in Healthcare to meet admission requirements for medical, nursing, or other healthcare programs.
