SCRIPT X 422.6
One-Hour or Half-Hour TV IV
This workshop focuses on writing a solid draft of an original television pilot, whether half-hour or one-hour, building from an outline completed in the previous course.
You begin by reworking and refining your story idea and outline as needed, addressing structural issues, fixing story problems, and maximizing comedic or dramatic potential.
Special attention is paid to refining the world of the show, strengthening characters, clarifying tone, and sharpening story to meet professional and network expectations.
You then move toward completing a first draft of your pilot, working intensively on scenes, dialogue, and action in a focused, workshop environment with ongoing feedback and support.
By the end of the course, you complete a substantial draft of your pilot script that captures your original vision.
You must bring a completed story outline and the teaser pages to the first day of class.
