Microwave Transmission Engineering

Master the Art of Microwave Transmission Engineering: Design, Plan, and Deploy Reliable Networks The Microwave Transmission Engineering course is designed for engineers, researchers, and professionals who want to gain a deep understanding of microwave and millimeter-wave transmission technologies.

This course provides you with a comprehensive exploration of microwave electromagnetic theory, practical microwave network design, and the planning of robust microwave transmission systems used in today’s most advanced digital communication networks.

As 5G, 6G, and satellite communication (SATCOM) continue to shape the future of global connectivity, the ability to design and optimize microwave transmission networks has become a critical skill.

This course equips you with the knowledge and tools needed to address challenges in wireless communication, satellite broadcasting, and high-speed internet delivery.

If you are seeking to advance even further, it also serves as a stepping stone to millimeter-wave transmission engineering.

A key component is a Microwave Link Design project , where you apply LTspice simulations, frequency planning, link budget analysis, fading prediction, and link optimization to a real-world microwave transmission scenario.

As part of the Microwave Link Design project, the course also introduces Artificial Intelligence (AI) , specifically Supervised Machine Learning (ML) as a state-of-the-art intelligent design tool for Microwave Link Design.

You will use your data generated from the microwave link design project to train a regression-based ML model that can help predict the optimizations such as the microwave transmitter's optimal power and the sweet spot for the microwave transmitter's power efficiency relative to link distance.

Using Python programming available via Google Colaboratory (free) to edit and run the ML model, you will gain practical experience applying AI/ML techniques to microwave transmission engineering problems.
