Principles of Supply Chain and Manufacturing

This course provides a foundational understanding of biopharmaceutical supply chain management and manufacturing operations, with a focus on supporting clinical trials and commercial product distribution.

Students will learn how regulatory frameworks and quality standards govern supply chain activities, including oversight from agencies such as the U.S.

Food and Drug Administration, and how Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements are applied to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant production and delivery of pharmaceutical products.

The curriculum covers supply chain planning, inventory management, manufacturing operations, regulatory compliance requirements, quality assurance processes, and cross-functional coordination across manufacturing and distribution teams.

Learners will gain practical skills in managing supply chain workflows, supporting compliance initiatives, coordinating manufacturing and distribution activities, and maintaining operational readiness within regulated biopharmaceutical environments.

This course prepares students for careers in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, supply chain operations, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
