Introduction to Biostatistics

This course provides a practical introduction to the statistical methods used in the analysis and interpretation of data in the biosciences and in public health, including those from basic science and clinical research, and surveillance/survey studies.

This class will be taught using a hands-on approach to understanding the subject matter and will utilize the R software program for calculations and interpretation.

Students will fully understand the complete cycle of data collection, analysis, interpretation, and application.

By the end of the course, students will have developed a background in biostatistics and the ability to apply that knowledge in real-world settings.
