SPANISH X418

Spanish: Intermediate II

In this continuation of Spanish: Intermediate I SPANISH X417, students practice communicating in Spanish to prepare for a variety of common real-world contexts and environments.

They further develop their listening and speaking skills through peer-to-peer activities, presentations, and engagement with Spanish language media.

Major language topics include appropriate use of the preterit and imperfect tenses, reflexive verbs and commands, and an introduction to the subjunctive.

The course is conducted mostly in Spanish and introduces students to foundational vocabulary for practical Spanish conversational skills.

Students also develop a deeper knowledge of and appreciation for the diversity and history of Spanish culture and customs.
