Fundamentals of Linguistics for ESL Teachers

In this course, prospective teachers will develop an understanding of the different areas of linguistics and their application to the teaching of the English language.

You will look at the origins of language and the English language, and focus on the areas of phonology, syntax, morphology and semantics.

At the end of the course, you will have broadened your knowledge and understanding of these branches of linguistics.
