Endocrinology
The endocrine system is an intricate complex of hormone-producing glands that maintain homeostasis and healthy function of the body.
This course explores the molecular and cellular mechanisms that mediate how hormones affect metabolism, growth and sexual development.
Students gain practical experience applying their knowledge by reviewing case studies and the current clinical diagnosis and interventions for treating endocrine diseases, such as hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, diabetes and pituitary disorders.
