Data Analysis and Business Modeling with Microsoft® Excel®

Market researchers, project managers, business analysts, economists, financial professionals, budgeters, venture capitalists, investment bankers, corporate treasurers, and operations heads are just a few examples of positions requiring a working knowledge of forecasting, evaluation, and analysis modeling.

This course provides a thorough working knowledge of a “best practice” platform meeting many organizational and project analytical needs.

Students learn business modeling and analysis techniques with Microsoft Excel with the ultimate objective of transforming data and modeling assumptions into key metrics as well as bottom-line results of forecasts, simulations, and sensitivity analyses.

This course is hands-on, scenario-based, and involves relational database construction and integration including use of Pivot Tables and Descriptive Statistics.

Key tools included are trend analyses (i.e. multiple regression, exponential smoothing, etc.) as well as advanced Excel functions (i.e.

OFFSET, INDIRECT, Power View, Solver, etc.)
