SCRIPT X 412.6
From Idea to Script in 11 Weeks
This intensive 11-week advanced course is for writers who are done talking about their screenplay and ready to write it.
Genre doesn’t matter—drama, thriller, horror, comedy, or sci-fi—as long as you are committed to completing a first draft of a feature screenplay (90–110 pages) in 11 weeks.
The course begins with two weeks of concept development and outlining, followed by eight weeks of disciplined drafting at a pace of 10 pages per week, no exceptions, and concludes with a final week devoted to polish and pitching.
You submit pages weekly, review peers’ submissions, and participate in discussion—pages in, feedback out, repeat.
The course runs asynchronously on Canvas, with optional bi-weekly Zoom office hours and a final pitch fest.
This is not a passive experience: your peers rely on your pages and your feedback, and missed deadlines disrupt the entire cohort.
The course is designed for writers who come in with a developed concept, understand that professional writing prioritizes discipline over inspiration, and are ready to sustain consistent output under pressure.
