TV Limited Series Pitching with a TV Literary Manager: Intermediate Workshop
This course demystifies the Limited Series in television, a genre that has become wildly popular over the last decade with international hit series such as “Adolescence,” “Big Little Lies” and “Chernobyl,” and acclaimed anthological limited series, such as “Black Mirror,” “American Crime Story” and “True Detective.” In this course, you examine the components of a successful limited series for streaming and build a pitch for it.
There will be two rounds of class and instructor feedback: the first round is for your written pitch pages, and the second round is for your verbal and visual pitch to the class.
This workshop helps you create from an informed insider’s point-of-view.
You learn current TV streamer trends and receive information about the kinds of limited series executives want today.
In addition, you explore how to acquire representation in Hollywood and how to manage your relationships with representatives to get them working for you.
Guest speakers from the TV industry (based on availability) help to demystify the business and give you the tools to prepare for a successful career in television.
The goal of the course is for you to create a strong, professional Limited Series pitch that is ready for Hollywood producers, agents, managers, and actors today.
