College Counseling for International Students
Explore the college admission process for international students, with an emphasis on the special needs and requirements for international students applying to U.S. colleges and universities.
This course explores the challenges of helping international students understand and navigate the unfamiliar landscape of the U.S. university system, while helping students and families understand the importance of fit vs. rankings.
In addition, issues unique to international students such as testing, financial and visa requirements; the ethics of working with agents; writing effective personal statements; and demonstrating interest from afar are also explored.
