Integrated Biology Laboratory: Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, and Genetics
This course takes a case-based clinical approach towards integrating laboratory sciences across multiple biology disciplines.
Each case explores a patient's clinical presentation through hands-on laboratory activities, experiments, and simulations.
For example, a patient with a cough may require chest x-ray analysis (anatomy), spirometry for lung function (physiology), and sputum cultures (microbiology).
Students practice a variety of laboratory techniques, such as dissection, tissue microscopy, genome sequence analysis, and microbe biochemical testing.
