Systems Engineering Precapstone

This course helps students develop academically strong, team-based capstone proposals.

It is mandatory for candidates in the Master of Liberal Arts, systems engineering, who wish to register for <a href="/search/?p=CSCI%20E-599c" data-action="result-detail" data-group="code:CSCI E-599c" class="notoffered" title="This course is not being offered in the selected term.">CSCI E-599c</a> in the coming fall term.

Students develop a capstone proposal through workshops, collaboration, research, and working with industry partners.

They receive guidance on refining project proposals, building the domain knowledge necessary in their selected area, and conducting user research.

By the end of the course, each team submits a detailed research proposal, including project rationale, methods, and expected outcomes, which they intend to execute during the capstone course.
