This course explores the economic forces that shape local outcomes, such as productivity, wages, housing, and inequality, and how these forces influence where people live, where firms operate, and how urban and state policymakers respond.

Students gain a deeper understanding of how local economies function and what makes places thrive or struggle in today's economy.
