Fundamentals of Academic Writing
This course is designed for students seeking preparation for <a href="/search/?p=EXPO%20E-25" data-action="result-detail" data-group="code:EXPO E-25" class="notoffered" title="This course is not being offered in the selected term.">EXPO E-25</a>, which is a course required for admission to the undergraduate program at the <a href="http://www.extension.harvard.edu">Harvard Extension School</a>.
Students review such basics of academic argument as thesis, claims, evidence, and structure.
Students complete short writing assignments that help develop the skills essential for producing persuasive academic essays.
Students also learn strategies for reading and analyzing complex texts.
