Nonverbal Communication: The Power of Body Language and Voice

How do you deliver a presentation or a short pitch in an assertive, convincing, and captivating way? Would you like to improve the impact of your message, whether you’re raising money for a startup or pitching an idea, product, or service to clients, providers, or colleagues? This course will focus on "how to say it" rather than "what to say," delving into effective nonverbal communication.

We’ll cover techniques of expression, including gestures, body movements, positions and postures, the voice, sustaining eye contact, and the use of silence, with an emphasis on consistency between verbal and nonverbal communication.

We’ll also examine how nonverbal communication can be used to influence others in difficult contexts (such as lecturing to an unsettled group) and to optimize the impact of your message in stressful settings (such as job interviews and business negotiations).

We’ll also address the differences between presenting to large audiences and to small groups.

The course includes short video recordings of each student.
