This course introduces students to the key concepts and best practices of accessibility in the context of user experience (UX) design.

Students will explore the principles of universal design and develop a working understanding of multimedia accessibility, with an emphasis on reducing barriers and enhancing the digital experience for individuals with disabilities.

Key topics include assistive technologies, inclusive design strategies, effective use of color and contrast, semantic tagging, and accessible form design.

Through a combination of theory and hands-on application, students will examine the human-centered dimensions of accessibility and learn to implement techniques that ensure web and mobile products are usable by all.

Assignments are structured to provide real-world experience and result in portfolio-ready projects that demonstrate proficiency in accessible design.
